NOT OFTEN DO antique toy collectors catch a glimpse of seventy-three miniature motorcycles riding in cavalcade. Yet such was the scene at Auction Team Breker’s marathon 800-lot sale on 16 November 2013 in Cologne, Germany.
The motorcycles formed part of a remarkable private collection of golden age tin toys that also numbered automobiles, boats and aeroplanes. It was transportation on two wheels, however, that particularly captured this collector’s interest.
