Tootsietoy introduced this 5.8-inch tanker in 1937. The last were issued about 10 years thereafter. Throughout their production, which was interrupted during WWII, the tankers were marked and specifically painted appropriately for Shell, Sinclair, Standard and Texaco.
The latest and post-WWII issues had silver tanks atop trucks painted yellow (Shell), green (Sinclair) and red (Texaco).
