Autogyro Toys

THE AUTOGIRO IS an airplane with a non-powered rotor which revolves as air passes through it. This autorotation results in the airplanes ability to take-off and land at slow speeds but unlike its successor the helicopter, it is incapable of vertical take-off and landing due to the need for forward motion to create the autorotation which develops lift.

I have five tin, mechanical autogiros in my collection; Four of the five are from Japanese manufacturers, three from CK and one unknown and a single German one from Technofix.
