1948 Promotional Literature

FOUND IN THE SMALLEST of four file cabinets was an11-inch stack of folders and other miscellany that had not been seen for years. It was mostly paper items relating to toys that were made over a few decades in the last century and included a number of copies of related articles and advertisements. Most did offer interesting information, but for article writing purposes something had to be selected for which a photo of the toy(s) could be included.

One such item was an article that appeared (with photos) in the January, 1949 issue of Popular Science magazine. The article read in part as follows:

Model Cars Built on Production Line
They roll off the assembly line at a rate of one a minute – miniature cars that faithfully represent the new 1948 Hudson.
