WEBSTER DEFINES THE word “toy” as an object for a child to play with, typically a model or miniature replica of something. So if toys are designed for children to play with then what are all of us toy collectors around the world doing with them? The answer is collecting, preserving and treasuring them – that’s what. And, the child within ourselves never quite grows up, or away from, being excited and fascinated by the interesting designs, bright colors, intriguing shapes and replicas of
things – all of which are toys.
