MAY IS A GREAT MONTH for the collecting spirit to burst into full bloom. Warm weather, blue skies and the urge to get out & about strikes us all. That’s when collectors like the late Don Stine were shoveling coal in the boiler to get the locomotive steamed up to start hitting the auctions and the shows. An avid train collector, Don Stine was well known along the collecting rails in the Midwest. He belonged to many of the train collector clubs and called those collectors his good friends. His massive collection will be a featured collection in the May 12-14 Rich Penn Auction Event. The auction will be held at the Waterloo Convention Center in Waterloo, IA.
