Dinky Toys vs. Corgi Toys By Pasky

Majority of Dinky Toys models have been been vehicles but aircraft items form a large group and were always included in the firm catalogues. Most of the toys made before 1965 at approximately 1/200 scale. In 1930 the new long distance records brought the aeroplane toys to the public attention and kids too. Under the mention of Air News were the first models appeared as in the Mecano magazines.

By 1940 numerous varieties were listed and WWII gave birth to a wide range of fighting aeroplanes. The toy is planes ranges have been seen as wide since. The very first comes out in 1934, advertised in the Mecano magazine.
