Fleischmann Aircraft Carrier by R.T. Claus

Toy Boats by Millet/Forbes one will find two pictures of an aircraft carrier that was supposedly made by Fleischmann in the mid 1930s. A series of warships, including destroyers, submarines, and battleships were produced by the firm both before and after WW II. Yet an aircraft carrier offering is not shown in any of their catalogs.

There is no way of learning how Forbes acquired the ship but it certainly predates the 1979 book publication and recognizes its rarity in the caption describing the toy. However, I question the fact that it has been restored.
