THE VENDOR’S SPACE at the antique mall was crowded with display cases and shelves all stuffed with hundreds of toys primarily vehicles. Only very few of the vintage toys present were in reasonable condition, not showing extensive wear, damage and/or missing parts. One of the few exceptions was a 6.4″ military piece sitting atop its original box as pictured herein.
At first the friction toy was thought to be tin, but only the chassis including the front fenders and bumper were tin while the remainder was plastic. The at-rest position of the main gun barrel and the vacant hole atop the rotating turret caused some concern.
