Focal Point: Baby Fire Department • Tootsietoy – c. 1927
THIS SMALL TOOTSIETOY toy set, which was actually intended as a gag gift, made a limited appearance in the September 2019 issue of this magazine. It and several other toys and boxes were presented primarily to focus not on the toys but rather on the boxes. Included herein will be added information about the items included in the set and an approach for better displaying and protecting it. The prior published description included the following: “Pictured on the box lid is a Tootsietoy Model T Ford pickup truck having a fire pumper and a ladder in the rear. The toy was issued by H. Fishelov & Co. circa 1927.
