In Its 1936 factory catalog Hubley introduced several new cast iron vehicles, three of those were identified as being a Stake Truck, a Wrecker and a Gas Truck. These three trucks resembled Diamond T’s and have since been referred to as such. All three trucks had a nickle plated grille with an appended hood ornament above and a front bumper below. And, all three trucks rode on four white rubber tires mounted on painted wooden hubs.

Hubley’s standard issue Diamond Ttanker (Gas Truck) introduced for 1936 had no Texaco or other brand markings.

Also in 1936 Hubley ventured into the making of die cast white metal vehicles. All were about 5 inches in length, a much smaller scale than the aforementioned three trucks. A couple years thereafter the company decided to issue larger die cast white metal vehicles one of which was a deco styled tanker with Texaco markings. It would have ”TEXACO” embossed on the each side of the tank. Hubley likely sought and Texaco likely granted approval for Hubley’s use of ”TEXACO” on their toy tankers.
