IN THEIR 1937 factory catalog Tootsietoy (a.k.a. Dowst Manufacturing) introduced a number of new toy vehicles. One was an 5.8 inch die cast white metal bus. It was pictured as a single color bus but with “GREYHOUND” embossed on each side. The available colors were not mentioned. The bus appeared to have separate tires mounted on hubs which actually turned out to be white rubber tires on zinc hubs. This bus was identified as their No. 1026 Bus.

Included was another version of the same bus which was listed as their model No. 1045 Greyhound Deluxe Bus. The description of this second bus stated that it was “decorated with streamline effect in the standardized colors of blue and silver, is offered with the consent of the operators of this service line” (e.g. The Greyhound Corporation).
