Morphy Auctions’ November 11–13 Toys & General Collectibles sale totaled $1.66 million, led by an extraordinarily rare ET (Japan) tin friction “Honeymoon” Robot Car that soared to $233,700 against a $40,000–$80,000 estimate. Believed to be one of only two examples retaining its original pictorial box, the silver convertible with lithographed robot driver and passenger captivated collectors and headlined the 1,375-lot event. Other standout results included a 4-foot-tall Villeroy & Boch terracotta Santa at $86,200, a complete set of 1959 Topps baseball cards at $67,650, and a Halloween “Lettuce Man” lamp-form candy container that realized $20,910.
