THE SUBJECT OF THIS narrative is a small green car that unexpectedly emerged from a collection in North Dakota. The couple of paragraphs that follow are needed to consider the subject toy in a proper perspective.

The 1933 Chicago World’s Fair closed on November 12, 1933 and reopened for about five more months on May 26, 1934. National Products of Chicago produced for Chrysler, Studebaker, Hudson and Graham (see gold example in photo) slush cast pot metal renditions of approximately 1/30th scale for distribution at the reopened event. All four cars rode on white rubber tires mounted on red wooden wheels.
