FOR 1953 Ford changed the design of its line of trucks. Revell, a maker of plastic toys located in Venice, California soon followed suit with three somewhat vague toy renditions of Ford F-1 half ton trucks. They consisted of two pickups and one panel truck.
By including a number of accessory items with each, the trucks were sold as “play sets” and identified as follows:
• Young PLUMBER Play Set
• Young GARDENER Play Set
• Young TV SERVICEMAN Play Set
