COLLECTORS DON’T REALLY own the items they collect. They simply pay for the privilege of having custody of them for an unspecified period of time when thereafter they are transferred to the custody of a subsequent collector. However, the privilege includes the responsibility of properly caring for their items. It’s sort of like renting.
Care for the truck presented herein includes its individual, dust-free glass covered case. Its original box, which also requires proper care, has been lined with cardboard and stuffed with blank newsprint. Then it was shrink-wrapped. The truck on display atop a bookcase in a corner and away from through traffic. Thus, it is difficult to reach much less knock down. In this instance “top shelf” refers to a toy placement as opposed to a premium quality adult beverage. But, the truck is definitely premium quality.
