Texaco By John Rastall

Texaco is one of the most popular oil collectables in the oil and gas hobby. I mainly collect Texaco toy items because my grandfather and dad had a Texaco Gas Station in Owosso, Michigan. When you look at the picture just above the door it reads “WE NEVER CLOSE.” Which surprises me as I believe it was about 1947.

As you can see, I have a few toy Gas Pumps. The two with glass globes are newer reproduction types, the front pump is home made of wood. The small plastic pump is from the H-G Toys and is N.O.S. I found the doll at a local flea market, and the Ventriloquist Dummy is an early original. The visible pump is an original c1950s. I would like to see any literature or ad for it.
