IN 2006 THE BEST SHOWfor vintage toy vehicles was probably Toledo, while Macungie definitely offered the best or second best weekend for vintage toys in general. At Macungie in 2006 a regular dealer from the Toledo show showed up at “THE” motel for Macungie week. That dealer had brought five White toy trucks that he’d acquired from the estate of M.H. Anderson, a former White corporate sales executive. Quickly locating his intended customer, three of the five changed ownership.
One of the three was the pictured red 7.5-inch slush cast white metal truck that was made by National Products. It was produced for the White Motor Company for their sole distribution as a promotional. This toy truck weighs in at a heavy 1 lb. 13.6 oz. and is red. The truck has a tilt cab that conceals a simulated six-cylinder gas engine. The tires on this six-wheel truck are solid white rubber as opposed to black rubber used in later production.
